INGREDIENTS<\/h2>\n

\u2022 4 Bel Gaufre maple waffles <\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 4 1\/4 inch thick slices of ham<\/span><\/p>\n

For the ham<\/i><\/span><\/h3>\n

\u2022 1 cup buttermilk (or clarified butter)<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 1 cup flour<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 1 cup bread crumbs<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 1\/2 tsp. dried thyme<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 1\/2 tsp. dried basil<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 1\/2 tsp. dried oregano<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 1 tsp. paprika<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 1\/2 tsp. ground coriander<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 1 pinch ground cayenne<\/span><\/p>\n

For the dressing<\/i><\/span><\/h3>\n

\u2022 2 tbsp. maple syrup<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 2 tbsp. yellow mustard<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 4 tbsp. wine vinegar<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 1\/2 cup olive oil<\/span><\/p>\n

For the garnish<\/i><\/span><\/h3>\n

\u2022 4 large quarters of iceberg lettuce<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Thin slices of red onion<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

PREPARATION<\/h2>\n

Place the ham in the buttermilk and let rest for 1 hour. Put the rest of the ingredients in a resealable bag and mix to create spiced breadcrumbs. Coat the ham with the breadcrumbs by pressing well to ensure the breading sticks. Place the ham in a pan and cook with a little oil for 2 minutes per side, turning gently. Reserve in an oven preheated to 325 \u00b0F with maple waffles for 10 minutes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Whisk together all the ingredients for the dressing and set aside. Serve maple waffles topped with ham, a large quarter of iceberg lettuce and slices of red onion. Generously drizzle with vinaigrette.<\/span><\/p>\n
